DIY colour block footwear

This season colour is EVERYWHERE!!! If you walk into any shop you will be hit by a blinding aray of yellow, blue, red, orange pink and green.

I tried a pair of boots on ( similar to this)

and loved them... looked at the price tag ($229) and put them back!! and then I had a thought..

I have a pair of black boots at home that I can dust off and add some bling!

heres how to do it its EASY PEASY!

take one pair of boots...

buy some glue and glitter....

cover the area that you want the glitter on with glue...sprinkle the glitter on ( I did a little bit first and rubbed it into the glue with my finger and then added more until I couldnt see the glue anymore)

wait overnight for it to dry, then cover the glitter area with another layer of glue (I did a thin layer) so that the glitter adheres to the shoe properly..wait until its completely dry (probably another night!) and...VOILA!

an old pair of boots with a new look!!! and it only cost about $5.00 ( and I have enough glue and glitter left to do about 4 other pairs!!!!)

I also got stuck into a pair of country road wedges that I bought at the seconds shop for $10 about 3 years ago...

I bought some white and orange acrylic artists paint and just stuck some masking tape around the edges of where I wanted to paint. i did a coat of white, let it dry, then added 2 coats of the orange

I got my inspiration from these..

arent they gorgeous?... although I could never walk in them they look great.

Let me know what you think...I will be doing a pair of jeans dip dyed and acid washed next!

head over here for more creativity!
